Richmond Rental Connect
The Richmond Poverty Response Committee was awarded $5,000.00 to assist in the development of a pilot project to create a registry that will match individuals seeking low cost affordable rental housing with landlords who have low cost rental housing.
Ageless Volunteer Engagement Program
The Richmond Food Bank was awarded $6,000.00 to assist in the development of a pilot project to create a supportive volunteer program for elderly volunteers, with the goal of keeping them engaged and contributing members of society.
Canadian Mental Health Wellness Program
The Canadian Mental Health Association, Richmond Branch was awarded $10,000.00 to purchase exercise equipment so they are able to offer a fitness program for individuals dealing with mental illness.
Children’s Arts Festival
The BC Children’s Art and Literacy Centre was awarded $10,000.00 to help pay for the cost of artists and their supplies for the February 2012 Children’s Arts Festival in Richmond.
